THE 2011 CROSSTOWN SOFTBALL SEASON....

 

The 2011 Crosstown 3rd Annual Golf Tournament was held on Sun Sep 11th at Mylora GC in Richmond... 20 players survived a beautifukl hot & sunny day and had a great time playing Texas scramble & then drinks & laughs & a nice BBQ supper ... & lotsa prizes for all - wine for the winning team & door prizes galore!

The 2011 Annual Crosstown Dinner, Dance & Awards night was held on Sat August 13th at the Cedar Cottage Pub.. the BBQ was excellent consisting of BBQ chicken & ribs & cob of corn & potatoes & salad for $11.95 ... team awards & trophies were presented to all division & playoff champions & finalists.. Molson's ballbags, an Easton Synergy bat, jackets, BC Lions & Canadians tickets, coolers and Coors Light sweatshirts & dryshirts all went as door prizes... thanks to the staff at the Cedar Cottage Pub & Joe, Pat & Roger of the Umpire's Association (VSUA), Chris at Abbies Sports, Molson's, Jeff at the BC Lions, Graham at Canadians Baseball & Lori at SPN and to all the league's coaches for their hard work & dedication .. congrats to Jill of the Diamond Dancers for winning the Easton Synergy bat .. unbelievable!

 

THE 2011 ANNUAL CROSSTOWN "RON COOKE MEMORIAL" TOURNAMENT

.. was held on the June 10-12th weekend at Gordon Park in Vancouver... 12 teams playing in the no rain, little sunny, great for ball weather and playing at least 5 games each with SPN umpires and playing for great prizes.... Molson's ball bags, jackets & t-shirts, SPN caps & wool vests & lotsa trophies (6 MVPs)

The 18th Crosstown Annual Dance & Awards Night was held on Saturday, August 14th/2010 at the Anza Club on, as usual, a hot summer night with cold drinks, trophies & shirts given out, tons of door prizes, lots of team trash talking, dancing tunes and a house full of fun ...

All trophies & awards & shirts to division champions and finalists were given out this night ...
Winning teams with no players attending will have their prizes recycled or donated to a local charity asap... ie Matadors, Brewers & Ballz Deep..We Thank You.

Summer” softball tournament at McCartney Creek Park. This year will host 12 teams on 4 grass fields, and will include 3 guaranteed games
starting at 9am, a beer garden, a BBQ and raffle prizes over the lunch period.

Game Times: 9:00 - 5:30 (No games from 12:15-1:00; when raffle prizes will be drawn)
Time Limit: 1 hour games (no new inning after 50 mins)

Format: Slow Pitch Softball 12 teams maximum 10 Fielders (including a rover)
Co-ed format (6 guys - 4 girls, can play 5/4 or 6/3) Guaranteed 3 Games
Each batter starts with 1-1 count (girls get 4 strikes)
